The out of control 2019 Flex is Ford’s response to those looking for a cutting edge adaptation of the old-school station wagon. It’s a maturing yet at the same time engaging SUV in an ocean of comparably molded family haulers, including the similarly extensive suv Ford Explorer.
Two V-6 motors are offered in the Ford Flex, both dislodging 3.5 liters and mated to a six-speed programmed. The base motor makes 287 strength and can be had with either front-or all-wheel drive. The upscale Limited trim offers a discretionary twin-turbo V-6 that wrenches out a hefty 365 pull and comes standard with all-wheel drive. At our test track, the turbocharged Limitedhustled to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. Since it’s more dug in than a customary SUV, the Flex offers a more carlike driving background
