2005 Cadillac Escalade

Being the Cadillac's premium full-size SUV, the 2005 Escalade was upgraded, adding a premium instrument cluster with bright chrome trim, a burled walnut trim, an optional 20-inch wheels on AWD, a bright chrome exhaust tip, a teal blue metallic riptide exterior paint. The 2005 Cadillac Escalade comes in 4 trim models and these are the 2WD, AWD, ESV AWD, and ESV Platinum Edition. New for 2005 Escalade is that the 2WD model received a Vortec High Output 6000 345-horsepower 6.0-liter V8 engine and OnStar Gen 6 hardware with digital and analog coverage and upgraded hands-free voice recognition capabilities. It has a maximum of 8 seating capacity except for the ESV Platinum Edition which has 7.

The AWD, ESV AWD, and ESV Platinum Edition are relatively similar. All three have a 6.0L V8, 345 horsepower standard engine with a torque of 380 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. The 2005 Escalade has a standard 4-speed automatic with overdrive transmission. Standard features available are the air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, cassette player, CD player, ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, and airbags both for the driver and passenger side. The ESV Platinum edition has a standard navigation system and sunroof.
